I got in from Vegas last night at about 10pm and went right to bed.
Then I woke up at 4:30 this morning and got on another plane for a business trip.
Then after that was done I sat in an airport for 3 hours waiting for my plane back.
I never want to fly again.
As far as Vegas goes, it was a good trip. Very relaxing. We got rooms at the Venetian, which were very spacious and cool. The one thing that sucked, though, was the service. Seriously, that place needs to get its act together.
First we showed up and they put us in a temporary room for the first night (in the Palazzo, which is kind of like the Venetian’s sister hotel). They told us we’d have to call in at 11am the next morning and then move to our real room. We weren’t happy about that, but we went up to our room to put all our shit down. When we got there, we used our key and got into our room only to find out that other people were already in it.
So we called them up and they had security let us into ANOTHER room, and we had to go down to the front desk to get keys to the new room.
Then the next morning we STILL had to move to another room.
It got a little better after that, but really the low point of our trip was pretty much any time we had to interface with a venetian hotel employee.
We saw the Wayne Brady show, which was funny. We also had dinner at a restaurant called Valentinos, which was awesome.
Best. Steak. Ever.
Too bad it was so small.
Then on Sunday we nursed our hangovers and came back.
So all in all, it ruled.
I hope we just caught the Venetian on an off weekend. 😛
Next time, Caesars Palace. They have the giant FAO Schwarz. 😉
